The Tulsa Reining Classic presented by Kimes Ranch not only celebrates its 20th event, it also is raising the bar for payouts. The Silva Reining Horses, LLC Open Futurity Level 4 features a record purse of $60,000 thanks to the support of the Friends of Tulsa group.

“We are so excited to have the support of the Friends of Tulsa who are adding to the purse for the Silva Reining Horses L4 Futurity,” said Pete Kyle, owner and manager of the Tulsa Reining Classic. “This is the largest payout in a single level in the history of the Tulsa Reining Classic! We are in awe of Tim and Rick’s generosity.”

Tim Anderson of Forever 21 Ranch and Rick Clark of Clark’s Pump-N-Shop are the inaugural members of the Friends of Tulsa group. Both are passionate about reining and assisting in the growth of the 3-year-old events at the TRC. Anderson’s stallion XoChic is the namesake of the XoChic Ford Truck Arena where the futurities and derbies will take place. The livestream begins Tuesday, August 30 with the Cardinal Ranch Emerging Horse Futurity from the XoChic Ford Truck Arena.

The Tulsa Reining Classic is one of the National Reining Horse Association’s Top 10 ranked shows. The TRC is home to the South Central Affiliate Regional Championships, the second qualifying event for the 2022 Adequan® North American Affiliate Championships in Oklahoma City during the NRHA Futurity and NAAC.

This year’s TRC continues to grow with the addition of The Invitational Reining, a stallion stakes futurity program and the inaugural National Ranch Riding Futurity will showcase 3-year-old ranch riding horses.

Show dates for the event are August 27-September 4 at the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex at Expo Square.

2022 TRC platinum sponsors include Kimes Ranch, XoChic, Markel Insurance, Friends of Tulsa, Silva Reining Horses, LLC, Forever 21 Ranch, Elementa Ranch, Not Ruf At All, Tamarack Ranch, Clark’s Pump-N-Shop, Hygain Feeds, XCS Ranch, The Invitational, Bluebonnet Feeds and Cilantro (Tinker With Dreams).
