The Tulsa Reining Classic presented by Kimes Ranch has announced Toyon Ranch as the emerging horse futurity sponsor for August 29-September 5 event at the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex at Expo Square.
The Toyon Ranch $5,000 Emerging Horse Futurity is for 3-year-old horses, shown one or two-handed in any legal bridle, snaffle bit or hackamore. Horses entered in the Silva Reining Horses, LLC Open Futurity or the Tamarack Ranch Developing Horse Futurity are not eligible to compete in the Toyon Ranch Emerging Horse Futurity, though they can enter the XCS Ranch Non Pro Futurity.

Owned by John and Nancy Tague, Toyon Ranch is based in Pilot Point, Texas. With a focus on breeding and developing the highest-quality reining prospects, Toyon Ranch’s broodmare band has produced earners of more than $4 million. The ranch’s stallion line up includes No Smoking Required, Shine Chic Shine and Colonels Smart Spook.
The Tulsa Reining Classic presented by Kimes Ranch also hosts the largest National Reining Horse Association Affiliate Regional Championships and features several futurities and derbies, along with other classes for all levels of riders.
