Night of Hidden Talent

Markel Insurance Presents a Night of Hidden Talent!

Thanks to the support of longtime sponsor Markel Insurance, a new night of fun is set for Friday, August 30 at the Tulsa Reining Classic. The Markel Insurance Night of Hidden Talent will showcase reiners with a range of talent from dancing to singing and more. They’ll perform to benefit the Reining Horse Foundation.

The evening will begin after the always popular View From The Judges’ Chair, a seminar that helps riders understand their scores and how to best present their performance to judges. That takes place in the Ford Truck Arena Exhibit Hall, near the horse show office.

At the conclusion of the seminar, approximately 5-5:30, the party will begin, with food, drinks and fun served right there in the Exhibit Hall, adjacent to the classroom area. Longtime Tulsa Announcer Paul Sullivan and his wife, Dody, will provide live music to begin the night as people enjoy the catered meal thanks to Markel Insurance.

Then the competition begins with reiners competing for bragging rights and the win of the Talent Show. Attendees will vote for their favorites with pledges to the Reining Horse Foundation. Currently slated to be part of the fun are Casey and Nicole Deary, Cody Crowe, Jeff Petska and Frank Costantini. If you have a talent and are interested in performing to benefit the Reining Horse Foundation please contact info@tulsareining.com. Spaces in the contest will be limited so contact us soon!

Colleen McQuay, President of Global Reining Sport Group, which produces the event, is excited to partner with Markel Insurance to present the Night of Hidden Talent. “We are glad to have an opportunity to thank our exhibitors and supporters in this way, and to benefit the Reining Horse Foundation.”

Markel Insurance Director of Western Disciplines Frank Costantini was glad to sponsor this event. “This will be an evening that is all about fun and time with friends. That’s the great thing about the reining world; we are all part of a community that shares some very special times. I’m glad that Markel can sponsor a venue where our reining family can enjoy time spent together.”

The Tulsa Reining Classic, produced by Global Reining Sport Group, is a landmark reining event set for August 26-September 1. In close to two decades, the Tulsa Reining Classic has grown into one of the National Reining Horse Association’s top ten events in the world – one that stays on the yearly calendar of top reiners and reining programs throughout the country. It features three futurities and two derbies plus two full slates of horse show classes, as well as hosting the NRHA’s South Central Affiliate Regional Championships. The great location, facilities, show management and the growing support of the reiners both in the South Central area and beyond, as well as to the innovative and “niche” events the show has created have all contributed to its success.
