Ariat Tulsa Reining Classic Announces Renewed Support from Historical Title Sponsor, Ariat International

Monday, January 29, 2012, Tulsa, OK – The Global Reining Sport Group, owners and producers of the Ariat Tulsa Reining Classic, is thrilled to announce today the continued support from Ariat International as the title sponsor of this prestigious event.  Title sponsors since nearly the inception, Ariat International has been instrumental in the Tulsa community’s support of this annual top-five Reining event.

Scheduled from August 29 to September 2, the Ariat Tulsa Reining Classic will once again be held at the beautiful Expo Square in Tulsa, OK. Early move-in dates and exclusive paid warm-up slots will be available to patrons and sponsors of the event, along with a multitude of other elite benefits.

For 2012, Ariat has maintained their support to show continued partnership with the Ariat Tulsa Reining Classic, as one of the cornerstones in the annual show season.   “We are proud to have always been the title sponsor of the Ariat Tulsa Reining Classic and look forward to yet another successful year in Tulsa,” said Susan Alcala Vice President, Partnership Marketing at Ariat International, “We are excited about the new and innovative components to the show schedule and we know it will continue to be an incredible event for Ariat and will carry on as one of the most high-impact Reining events in the world.”

Prior to 2011, the Oklahoma Reining Horse Association crafted and grew the event into a major showcase for the sport.  Beginning last year, the event was acquired by the Global Reining Sport Group (GRSG) and major renovations were made in order to continue OKRHA’s hard work and upward growth pattern.

“For past exhibitors and new friends alike, the Ariat Tulsa Reining Classic is a special and dynamic event in our industry, and one with a bright future.  Building from our momentum in 2011, we are very excited to show the world what is in store at the 2012 Ariat Tulsa Reining Classic, and beyond,” said Colleen McQuay, president of the Global Reining Sport Group.

GRSG is excited to also announce that it will continue its wildly successful Developing Horse Futurity at the Ariat Tulsa Reining Classic.  Intended for horses and riders who may not want to compete at the highest level, the Developing Horse Futurity offers riders a chance to develop their young horses in a competitive setting.

In 2012, much of what Reiners from around the world have come to love about the Ariat Tulsa Reining Classic will be familiar.  The event will still hold big-money aged event classes, will still have multiple slates of ancillary classes and will once again be the host to the South Central Regional Affiliate Final, thanks to a firm partnership with OKRHA as well as plenty of hospitality and fun at this AA rated Reining event.

Sponsorship, Patronship and participant information will be available in the coming two weeks and the Global Reining Sport Group looks forward to welcoming supporting individuals and corporations for this very important and widely-celebrated event.

An updated 2012 event website will be launched soon, giving all stakeholders a chance to gather information.  Until then, be sure to bookmark the website at:  TulsaReining.com as well as mark your schedules for August 29-Spetember 2 for the Ariat Tulsa Reining Classic!
