Shapley’s Tulsa Reining Classic Best Groom Award Returns in 2019!

It takes a team to show horses and last year Tulsa Reining Classic joined with Shapley’s Equine Products for the first-ever Tulsa Reining Classic Shapley’s Best Groom awards. This year, thanks to Shapleys, the groom of the best turned out horse will receive a silver engraved julep cup and a bucket of Shapleys Superior Equine Grooming products. The Tulsa Reining Classic, produced by Global Reining Sport Group, is a landmark reining event set for August 26-September 1.

“We are so glad to welcome Shapley’s back and thank them for sponsoring these awards,” noted Colleen McQuay, president of Global Reining Sport Group, which produces the Tulsa Reining Classic. “Shapley’s products are a favorite of the reining world and all other disciplines and continue to meet the demands for products that are best for our horses.  We appreciate that they choose the Tulsa Reining Classic to support!

Grooms at the Tulsa Reining Classic can fill out a free entry form, then a panel of Tulsa Reining Classic judges including staff at all arenas will have the job of choosing the winners. Winners will be announced on Saturday at the conclusion of the Hollywoodstinseltown Open Futurity.

In less than two decades, the Tulsa Reining Classic has grown into one of the National Reining Horse Association’s top ten events in the world – one that stays on the yearly calendar of top reiners and reining programs throughout the country. It features three futurities and two derbies plus two full slates of horse show classes, as well as hosting the NRHA’s South Center Affiliate Region Finals.  The great location, facilities, show management and the growing support of the reiners in the South Central area and beyond, as well as to the innovative and “niche” events the show has created have all contributed to its success.
