Quarter Horse News Tulsa Reining Classic Stallion Auction

Quarter Horse News has returned for the sixth consecutive year as the sponsor of the Tulsa Reining Classic Stallion Service Auction. The Tulsa Reining Classic, scheduled for August 28-September 3, boasts varied venue including the USEF Youth and Open Championships plus Futurities, Derbies, and the National Reining Horse Association’s South Central Region Affiliate Finals along with a full slate of ancillary classes.

Quarter Horse News became the title sponsor of the Stallion Service Auction in 2012. According Show Manager Cheryl Magoteaux Cody, the twice-monthly publication is an invaluable tool for reiners and the industry. “We love having this important media resource as a part of our show. We are proud to have its support and feel it adds prominence to our event!”

Savannah Magoteaux, Associate Publisher of Quarter Horse News, also values the relationship between Quarter Horse News and the Tulsa Reining Classic Stallion Auction. “The management of the TRC always produces a first class event, and it has become a must-attend for our staff. We feel strongly about the importance of stallion owners and breeders, as they are such an integral part of the western performance horse industry. The Stallion Auction is the perfect avenue for us to show our support.”

The stallion auction regularly features some of the most elite stallions in the reining industry. It begins on August 15and concludes at 7 pm September 1, giving mare owners plenty of time to plan and prepare for the next year’s breeding season.

Bidders may bid both online at www.tulsareining.com and in person at the Quarter Horse News Tulsa Reining Classic Stallion Auction display at the show.

Cody added, “We also deeply appreciate the support of stallion owners who choose to be a part of this auction. Because of their participation, we try to keep the stallions in the forefront during the show.”

Stallions are heavily promoted during the event as well as prior to and after the show and stallion owners who donate a breeding receive sponsorship benefits at the event. Thanks to Quarter Horse News, each stallion is entered to win one of two stallion promotion packages valued at $5,000 that contain both print and electronic advertising.
