(Tulsa, Okla., May 31, 2017) The Tulsa Reining Classic welcomes SmartPak back as the naming sponsor of the Non-Pro Derby at the 2017 Tulsa Reining Classic, set for August 28 -September 3 at Expo Square in Tulsa, Oklahoma. SmartPak has sponsored the event for five years and its support has allowed the event to add real credibility and substantial earnings to a horse’s show record.
The SmartPak Non Pro Derby continues to grow annually and last year paid over $4900 to Champion Cade McCutcheon and Custom Made Gun owned by McQuay Stables. Along with the cash, the winner also garnered SmartPak products – much appreciated in McCutcheon’s case as he said after the win that he is already a loyal customer! Like Cade, many exhibitors use SmartPak’s high-quality products in appreciation to the company’s enduring support of the reining industry.
“We are very glad to have SmartPak on our team,” said Anne-Marie Burns. Burns is a co-owner of Global Reining Sport Group, which produces the Tulsa Reining Classic. She continued, “As a result of the continued support of SmartPak, we can continue to offer an awesome venue for Non Pros to compete with their Derby horses. SmartPak is an industry leader in the equine health market with innovative products. We, at GRSG, strive to achieve that same innovative spirit by producing an event that is spectator, exhibitor and equine athlete friendly.”
“We are excited to be back at the Tulsa Reining Classic and working with all of the staff and riders that make the sport of reining so great,” said Lissa Hines, Marketing Director at SmartPak. “This has always been a great show for SmartPak to sponsor, and we’re thrilled to be the naming sponsor for the Non-Pro Derby again. We look forward to coming back each year to not only support the sport but to help continue to grow awareness as well.”
SmartPak will again provide Rockin’ SP Tack for prizes this year at the show. Like SmartPak’s other private label brands, Rockin’ SP offers exceptional quality. Each item is designed by SmartPak’s own riders and is tested on their own personal horses and the result is a range of bridles, blankets, girths, saddle pads and other items that combine long-lasting quality with unbeatable prices.
SmartPak also provides customers with innovative tools to help keep their horses healthy. Through extensive research, SmartPak is able to offer informative articles and videos on the website and in the catalog. The website also offers helpful technology that can help horse owners decide anything from which supplements their horse needs to which blanket to put on their horse through the winter.
SmartPak was founded in 1999 with the introduction of the patented SmartPak supplement feeding system. The revolutionary, daily dose SmartPaks are custom-made for horses, individually labeled and sealed for freshness. With the success of this simple and convenient feeding system, SmartPak continued to expand its offering of quality products, including its own line of more than 55 supplement formulas called SmartSupplements and a wide variety of tack, equipment, and supplies. The company is now the largest retailer of equestrian products in the United States.
