SmartPak returns as the presenting sponsor of the Non Pro Derby at the 2014 Tulsa Reining Classic, set for August 26-31. The event, for 4,5 and 6-year-olds, had 70 entries in 2013 and is expected to grow even larger. Last year’s winner, Steven Borgia, rode Electric Starlight to the win, and collected over $5,000!
“No doubt, through SmartPak’s support, this has grown to be a prestigious event,” noted Tulsa Reining Classic Sponsor Coordinator, Loren Morris. “It has become a premier title that adds real credibility to a horse’s show record.”
Lissa Hines, Marketing Director at SmartPak, agrees and points to the caliber of horses that compete each year. “The only thing more impressive than the Tulsa Reining Classic is the quality of horses and riders it brings in. We are proud to partner with such a great event and excited to get our brand and products in front of so many smart horse owners. We’re very much looking forward to a successful 2014 show!”
With a total of $25,000 added, the SmartPak Non Pro Derby provides a climactic end to the show, taking place on Sunday, August 31, after the Cardinal Reining Horses Open Derby. It features Non Pro Levels 4,3 and 2, as well as Prime Time Non Pro and Novice Non Pro.
