The Tulsa Reining Classic is committed to supporting the owners and exhibitors who
attend the show and growing with and adjusting to the changes in the industry is a
hallmark. One adjustment for 2014 is a larger focus on the NRHA Open Class, set for
Friday, August 29.
In the past, this event was held in the Mustang Arena but for 2014, it will be showcased
in the Ford Truck Arena at the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex at Expo Square.
Jeanna Schaffhauser of Global Reining Sport Group, noted, “During this World
Equestrian Games year, the Tulsa Reining Classic will not be hosting the USEF
National Championship. This creates the perfect opportunity for us to focus on our Open
Division and bring these riders into the spotlight.”
With the move, the added money for the Open has been increased to $3,000 and
the class will be run concurrently with the Regional Affiliate Finals Open and the USA
Reining Open.
